Inside Sales

Job description

Under the supervision of the Sales Manager, the incumbent’s main responsibility will be to process sales orders and complete quotations required by customers. The incumbent will also have to understand order requirements, communicating these requirements to the organization and dealing with any customer satisfaction issues that might arise from sales orders while following all applicable instructions for the prairie division of Ben-Mor.

Responsibilities

  • Process incoming sales orders and prepare quotations and drawings, as required, promptly, proficiently, and accurately in a just-in-time, changing sales environment.
  • Verify stock and inform customers of alternatives, timelines for production and shipping and make effort to upsell, when applicable.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer concerns or inquiries, and build and maintain positive rapport with customers through friendly, engaging communication.
  • Maintain a proactive schedule for following up on quotations to close sales and achieve sales quotas while actively sourcing new sales opportunities.
  • Demonstrate individual alignment with strategic initiatives and to provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
  • Inspect and report on maintenance of tools and equipment in the office area to ensure productivity and reduce downtime.
  • Ensure and report on quality of sales initiatives before, during and following all sales processes.

Skills and aptitudes

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to use discretion and independently and proactively identify issues, plan improvements and measure success.
  • Ability to be professional and use tact and discretion in dealing with customers, Employees and third-party consultants/providers/suppliers.
  • Ability to manage many files at the same time and to work under pressure while staying efficient.

Qualifications

  • Manitoba High School Diplomas.
  • Post-Secondary education in Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent, considered an asset.
  • Customer Service/Sales training or certification, considered an asset.
  • Two years minimal experience or previous relevant experience in customer service and/or sales in a manufacturing setting.
  • Extensive familiarity with working on a computer, Microsoft Office Suite, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (considered an asset).
  • Familiarity with measurements, measuring tools and reading, interpreting and following drawings and instructions.
  • Knowledge of the principles of providing effective customer service, managing sales, and negotiation and conflict resolution techniques.
  • Technical knowledge of lifting industry products, or related.

Accounting Technician

Job description

Under the supervision of the Head Office, the incumbent’s main responsibility will be to shared tasks in collaboration with the Assistant Controller, maintains, processes and verifies payable and receivable transactions by collecting revenue and paying invoices while following all applicable instructions for the prairie division of Ben-Mor Cables Inc.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare tasks that must be accomplished in accordance with all applicable instructions and Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Accounting payable; processing and paying invoices and disbursements; obtaining authorization of payment.
  • Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information; computing charges and refunds; preparing and mailing invoices; identifying delinquent accounts and insufficient payments.
  • Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
  • Resolves account discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information; issuing stop payments, payments, or adjustments.
  • Maintains vendor, credit card and expense accounts and payments.
  • Inspect and report on maintenance of tools and equipment in the Office area.
  • Ensure and report on quality of administrative documentation, material and product before, during and following all applicable processes.
  • Produce production reports in the accounting system.

Qualifications and aptitudes

  • Manitoba High School Diplomas; Post-Secondary education in Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent, required
  • Two years minimal experience or previous relevant experience in Accounting/Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable in a manufacturing setting.
  • Extensive familiarity with working on a computer, Microsoft Office Suite, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of General Accounting principles and practices (GAPP).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively and safely in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to pay close attention to details.
